What is a plastic conveying device


         With the improvement of the quality of plastic processing products and the improvement of factory automation, the use and demand of plastic auxiliary equipment are receiving increasing attention. Choosing a suitable auxiliary equipment can not only improve product quality and productivity, but also reduce many investment costs from an investment perspective.

         Automated production workshops are an industry that many investors want to invest in. How to choose appropriate auxiliary equipment to better add value to your production equipment has long been the answer investors and users want to know.

         Plastic conveying equipment can be said to be the most widely used equipment in plastic processing production lines, which can save manpower and time in plastic handling, as well as the space occupied by the factory due to the accumulation of raw materials.

         The transportation of raw materials is mostly through gas transportation. Simply put, it is to use the principle of gas flow to transport raw materials from a certain location to a designated location. There are two common methods of gas transportation: positive pressure transportation and negative pressure transportation. Positive pressure transportation is generally suitable for long-distance transportation of materials. It is an energy-saving and efficient transportation method that uses compressed air to transport a large amount of materials to a relatively long distance. The method of transporting multi-point materials at a short distance under negative pressure to the aggregate hopper, and then sending them to the storage silo or other receiving points through the suction box set at the lower part of the aggregate hopper. The method of multi-point feeding and single point discharging is adopted. The conveying speed of materials in the pipeline is lower than the suspension speed, which is suitable for conveying powder and small particle materials.

         There are three types of gas transmission: low-speed low concentration transmission, high-speed high concentration transmission, and Venturi tube transmission.

         Most of the gas transportation in plastic processing and production lines is carried at low speed and low concentration, which is the way of vacuum suction. Vacuum suction is a method of using a vacuum pump to generate vacuum attraction, and then adjusting the ratio between raw materials and air to achieve delivery. Generally, the negative pressure value of a vacuum pump is controlled between - 2000 and - 5000 mmAq.

         The equipment of the raw material conveying system mainly includes a controller, a vacuum fan, a dust collecting bucket, and a hopper.

         Regardless of whether the raw material conveying system is a single machine or a factory automated central feeding system, it is necessary to consider whether the conveying capacity meets the demand of the production line, the type of raw material, the size of raw material particles, the length of conveying distance, the convenience and flexibility of material replacement, and the possibility of future expansion and use must be taken into account.

         The feeding fan is a device that determines the conveying capacity. The selection of fans can be divided into two types: Lu type blower and commonly used high-pressure blower.

         The vacuum pressure value of Lu type blower is stable, suitable for medium to long distance and large conveying capacity occasions; Commonly used high-pressure fans are more susceptible to load and affect the vacuum pressure value, so they are more suitable for short to medium distance and small delivery situations.

         The dust collecting bucket can filter and collect the dust generated during the transportation of raw materials to avoid dust flying and causing pollution to the plant. The selection of the dust collecting bucket should mainly consider the convenience of cleaning.

         The suction hopper is a device installed above a molding machine or storage barrel, and can be equipped differently according to the needs of various production equipment, such as different optional accessories such as a two-material proportional valve, a cut-off valve, and a suction box. The capacity of the suction hopper needs to meet the transportation volume and the material consumption required for the molding cycle, as well as the convenience of cleaning and refueling.

         The use of the controller of the feeding system should meet the requirements of simple operation, modularization, central monitoring functions, and expandability to achieve the purpose of material management and monitoring throughout the plant.

         Screw conveying is also an ideal conveying method for conveying large output and good stability. New materials, nozzle materials, sheet materials, powder, etc. can be transported.
