Definition and classification of lubricating oils
Usually referred to as refrigeration oil in the industry
It plays five roles in the unit: lubricating the friction surface and reducing component wear; Cooling effect; Remove metal impurities and have a flushing effect; Sealing effect on the friction surface; Use oil pressure as the power for hydraulic transmission.
Requirements for lubricating oil: having a certain viscosity; The freezing point should be low; Free from impurities such as moisture and paraffin; Good compatibility and stability with refrigerants; High insulation voltage resistance.
Classification of refrigeration oil
1. Natural mineral oil: There are 13 #, 18 #, and 25 #, with the third type having the highest viscosity;
2. Artificial synthetic oils: polyester, polyols, and polar synthetic hydrocarbons.
